You see, in your 20s, you can ‘get away with’ a lot as far as your health and body composition goes. Some common ones:
- FASTING UNTIL NOON EVERYDAY
- COFFEE INSTEAD OF BREAKFAST
- LOTS OF HIGH-INTENSITY CARDIO
- RESTRICTING FAT AND/OR CARBS
- CALORIE DEFICIT WITH NO BREAKS
- IGNORING HORMONAL AND/OR GUT SYMPTOMS
But, as you’ve probably realized, these things work until they don’t, especially when we hit our 30s and 40s when we don’t have endless hormones to pick up the slack.
Our bodies are not meant to be punished and constantly pushed this way.
Sure, some of these things can be done with nuance and done on occasion to help get you results, but most aren’t meant to be done full-time and ALL the time.
So, once upon a time, if you were feeling awesome, losing weight, kicking ass and taking names, but now you are not seeing results or, worse, going backwards, it’s time to re-evaluate and try something new!
